I have been in private practice as a solicitor in Melbourne for the last 30 years.
I take a hands-on, direct approach to my clients’ legal matters. I don’t like taking “No” for an answer and I work hard with clients, opponents and anyone else involved to try to get practical and sensible outcomes.
One of the great rewards of having spent so many years in private practice is being able to cut to the chase and guide clients quickly and clearly about the legal issues affecting them.
I have a law and economics degree from Monash University and went to work for a large accounting practice before working many years for an international commercial and litigation law firm in Melbourne.
I have years of experience in handling commercial litigation matters, insolvency problems, wills and trusts disputes as well an extensive background in property related matters including finance, securities and conveyancing. I have experience in acting for very large corporate clients as well as small to medium business clients. I have litigated matters for clients at VCAT as well as the Magistrate’s, County and Supreme Court. Some cases run for 1-2 days; the longest for nine months.
I started Hendersons Legal in the Melbourne CBD in 2001 of which I am very proud. I am the principal of the firm and take a direct and active role in every client matter that comes into the office. As a result I get to know my clients extremely well allowing me to understand their goals and backgrounds and guide them in a way most suitable for their specific needs and wishes.
My home life is ruled by family, friends and my devotion to Collingwood Football Club. I am an annual attendee at the Port Fairy Folk Festival, mainly to be found in the Guinness Tent.
